Family experiences

The Kitzbühel Alps, the Rofan Mountains and the Brandenberg Alps offer a wide range of family-friendly tours to challenging high-alpine routes.

The summer mountain railways Alpbachtaler Sommerbergbahnen provide access to a wide network of hiking trails and are free of charge for our guests with the Alpbachtal Card.
Directly in Reith im Alpbachtal, an 8-seater gondola lift leads up to the Reitherkogel. There, the 2.5 km long „Juppi Zauberwald“ adventure circular trail delights families with nature-oriented play stations and a viewing platform.

The Wiedersbergerhorn cable car in nearby Alpbach leads up to 1,850 m and is the starting point for summit and alpine pasture hikes in the Kitzbühel Alps. Children look forward to the Lauserland adventure forest playground right by the mountain station.

In the gorges

The bizarre gorges in Brandenberg and Kundl are fascinating.
Secured gorge paths lead through the deep gorges of the Tiefenbachklamm and of the Kaiserklamm in the Brandenberg valley. A family-friendly hiking trail shows the full beauty of the gorge Kundler Klamm.

Excursion destinations

Excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity such as the Hildegard Garden in Reith im Alpbachtal, the Farm Museum Bauernhöfemuseum in Kramsach or the Castle Park Schlosspark Matzen in Brixlegg provide welcome variety. When swimming in the lake Reither See or the lake Reintaler See and with the countless leisure activities such as mountain biking, climbing or white-water sports, you can impressively feel the summer in the mountains.
